Happy 4th!
A modest proposal: say we all take some time out today to meditate on what the founding of America means & the principles for which it stands. And vow to do what we can to correct its course.
Then we can go back to stuffing our faces with hot dogs, guzzling beer & watching things blow up ~

BTW, isn't there something in one of America's holy documents that speaks to a popular, armed uprising from it's citizens once tyranny overwhelms the "elected" government?

But I daresay that was before Americans had toys (SUV's, boats, motorcycles, mortgages on preposterous McMansions,) Faux News & insipid reality shows to distract them.
Bread & circus, Malik, that's what the Romans used to distract the populace to prevent them from noticing what's REALLY going on & revolting.
Some of us, however, remain hopeful~
