In today's stunning political news, we see that Tom "jerrymander" DeLay, having resigned his seat in Congress in his initimable & extravagantly combative style, lives on in the spirit of the GOP with the passing of a bill aimed at locking Democrats out of gorging themselves at the "soft money" trough, according to the Washington Post, while preserving the GOP's god-given right to do just that.

And we can't help noting that Tom didn't really
give up his seat until he'd raised enough money in the Texas primary to cover his defense legal fees. What a shining example of GOP principle. What a class act!
